Gift Giving on a Budget part 2

Tomorrow is kitchen day for my homemade ‘budget’ gifts.  One thing for sure is they won’t look ‘homemade’, rather ‘custom gourmet’! And everyone who receives one my ‘goodie baskets’ knows they are filled with the most delicious treats! That sounds boastful, I know, but it is really accurate.  People drop hints and come out and demand them each year.  The list just keeps growing.  That is due to a few reasons.  People who share the treats in my baskets tell me how their friends and family love them.  I make new friends all the time and we just moved, so our new neighbors as well as our old neighbors get a taste, and the one I take to the office gets larger each year.

So, I spent a couple hours today at my favorite, local thrift stores finding last minute deals on holiday decorations to put just the right finishing touch to each gift. Wow, wait till you see all that I found and only spent $23.00 total!  There was not one item over $2.50. I promise pictures and recipes to finish off my holiday gifts, Ne-deja-vu style.  (Nothing bought  new).  The only new things will be the food. But that will all be made in my own kitchen.  Yummy!

So, I better get to work.
